My Modesty Manifesto!
Would you like encouragement in your walk as a Godly, Faithful, and Modest Gal? The following is
written to be that encouragement you need as you walk humbly with your God!
Read this as a prayer to the Father's heart. Read it once, then speak it, declare it!
This is my Modesty Manifesto! I declare today that I will be modest because... I am a child of God, a
daughter of the King of Kings, because Christ died for sinners like me, because God loves me, because
I want to honor God, because I don't want my brother to stumble, because I want to honor my (future/
or present) husband, because I respect myself, because I want to be pure (knowing purity is being
forgiven by God of all my past, present, and future sins.) I will be modest because I want my outside to
reflect my inside that have been sanctified by God. I shall be modest to show respect for my family, to
remember Christ is also my covering, to honor the Bible where it says
1Timothy 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with
shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which
becometh women professing godliness) with good works (Holy Bible: King James Version.)
I will be modest because Jesus loves me, because I am the bride of Christ, because I want to be faithful,
because I am not a slave to fashion- but a slave to my Lord Jesus. I will be modest because modesty is
a lost virtue, because I am lady, because I want to be a good role model to my friends, because I want
to have a strong witness and testimony. I will be modest because God cares about every last part of
me- because I am “fearfully and wonderfully made.” I will be be modest so I can show my inner
beauty just as our mother Sarah of old. I will be modest because I feel good about myself, because I
want to be liked for who I am on the inside- not who I am on the outside. I will be modest as not to be
a distraction to others trying to worship the Lord. I will be modest because I find my worth in what
Christ did for me on the cross. I will be modest as not to have any sin come between the fellowship I
have with my Heavenly Father. Lastly, I will be modest so when Messiah returns, I will be be ready for
His arrival, dressed to meet my King. I will be modest... for “I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.”
Declare this Modesty Manifesto today and you to can be a Faithful, Modest Gal Always.
